by the World Association in Newspapers (WAN) in Paris.
Co-author with Leo Bogart of "The State of the Latin American Newspaper
Industry," (Paris), with Kenneth Maxwell of "The Press and the Rebirth of
Iberian Democracy," (New York) and with Robert Worcester of "Political
Opinion Polls." (London).

Amy Webb

Amy Webb is a strategic, digital product and business consultant to online
media companies and other organizations. Simply put, her team of consultants
and programmers helps other organizations innovate. Her company, Webbmedia,
has worked with media companies and other organizations around the world,
from major television networks to national newspapers to small arts groups.
Amy has spent more than a decade working with digital media as a reporter,
publisher or consultant. She began her career as a reporter/ writer with
Newsweek (Tokyo Bureau) and the Asian Wall Street Journal (Hong Kong bureau)
where she covered emerging technology, media and cultural trends. Throughout
her journalism career, she has contributed to such publications as the New
York Times, NPR, Economist, Philadelphia Inquirer and many others. Her work
has been recognized with awards/nominations from Webby, EPpy, W3, SPJ, IRE
and IAVA.
She has a M.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism,
holds a B.A. in political economics from Indiana University in Bloomington,
IN. Amy has been on the adjunct faculty or has lectured at Temple
University, the University of Maryland, University of the Arts and Tokyo
University and has lectured at Columbia University, Johns Hopkins
University, Indiana University, Purdue University and elsewhere. She is a
featured speaker at media conferences and journalism workshops and is a
regularly featured commentator on national broadcast networks.
Amy serves on the Board of Directors for the Online News Association, the
Temple Journalism Advisory Council and the International Center for
Journalists Advisory Council.
